Your Family Chalet in the Dolomites

Situated on a south-eastern hillside in one of the most sought-after private residential areas of the region, this unique Mountain Chalet offers spectacular views into the valley of Alta Badia. Privacy in the heart of nature, high quality building materials leading to a “CasaClima” certification, and authentic Ladin architecture define this cozy home away from home.

The 342 m² (gross commercial area) chalet develops over three floors and can be accessed either by car through the private garage, and an internal staircase leading to the 1st and 2nd floor, or independently from each floor.

This Chalet can either be used as is: 2 apartment floors, one with 2 bedrooms, a large bathroom and an open kitchen and living space on the 1st floor and the top floor with one bedroom, ensuite walk-in closet, bathroom and open kitchen and living space. Alternatively, our team has created 3D models of what we believe to be the ideal Family Chalet: Another Master Bedroom on the 1st floor and a restyling of the kitchen and open living space on the penthouse floor.

Chalet Dolomieu was named after Deodat Dolomieu, the namesake of the Dolomite mountains, which sprawl in front of the exclusive property surrounded by lush green meadows.

About the Chalet

Chalet Dolomieu

Your safe haven for generations
Chalet Dolomieu by night.jpg

This Mountain Chalet was built in 2009 and represents a beautiful mix of Alpine charm and architecture, in symbiosis with its unique surroundings.

Ground Floor

In addition to the spacious 90 m² garage, the ground floor offers a boiler- and washing room, a walk-in light well to assure dryness of the wall, a ski- and mountain bike room as well as additional storage space for your winter clothes, sports equipment or the like. A currently unused space of 33 m² could be repurposed as a spa area with a Finnish sauna and some relaxing water beds.

First Floor

This grand floor has two bedrooms with access to the garden, one large bathroom with a shower and a bathtub, an adjacent open-space kitchen and living room. The south-east facing balcony creates a beautiful symbiosis between the spacious, light-flooded interiors and the scenic outdoors.

Second Floor

The penthouse floor can be accessed either by the internal wooden staircase, or directly from the garden. The outdoor private access is a nice option to grant family relatives or friends a private penthouse without disturbing anyone on the lower floors during the popular ski- and summer seasons.
This floor includes a Master bedroom with ensuite walk-in closet and direct access to the private terrace and garden. The bathroom with shower has a separate day toilet, and windows facing the backyard forest and green meadows. The gem of this floor is the grand living space with an open-space kitchen, two balconies and spectacular 4,12 m high ceilings creating a majestic feeling of lightness and comfort.

UNESCO DOLOMITES

The top of the World

Nature lovers, sport enthusiasts and gourmets alike fall in love with Alta Badia – no matter if they first arrive for snow activities, hiking or the refreshing clean air.

As one of the most renown sought-after mountain areas in the world, it is part of the Dolomiti Superski region.

With state-of-the-art ski facilities and over 1200 km of interconnected ski runs at an altitude of 800 to 3.269 m, it's the world’s biggest ski resort.

The property is situated in the exclusive residential neighborhood of Funtanacia in La Villa, only a 3-min drive from the village center and about 800 m from the main cable way Piz La Ila.

The airport of Bolzano is reached in a bit over an hour (65 km), while the larger international airports of Innsbruck (130 km), Verona Valerio Catullo (210 km) and Venice Marco Polo (170 km) can all be reach within two to three hours by car or private shuttle service.

what others say

We worked closely over several years with the Castlunger Family

on the realization of our Family Chalet in Colfosco, Alta Badia.

Deeply rooted in the valley, with 30+ years of experience in Architecture, Interior Design, and the Built Environment, multilingual, and well versed in the latest trends in design and sustainable building, the Castlungers have the complete skill set to make the dream of a holiday home in the Dolomites come true. From the early days of the project phase, to decorating and furnishing our new holiday home, we truly couldn’t have asked for more capable partners, or better friends.

Massive thank you, Famiglia Castlunger!
